Building on the legacy of edginess and performance of the wristwatches of 1969, the newest Zenith Defy Skyline collection features the Manufacture’s latest generation of the El Primero high-frequency calibre. This Defy Skyline model has an alluring blacked-out look crafted entirely in black ceramic- including the bracelet. The ceramic material is much harder than traditional metals and alloys, making it a compelling choice for the “all-situations” watches of the Defy collections. Unlike blackened metal elements which are simply plated, the ceramic in these watches itself is black and will never wear off- including in the bracelet. 

The Defy Skyline Ceramic model features an open dial with a blackened large central four-pointed star element, the iconic symbol of Zenith. The star element reveals the skeleton movement with black bridges and main plate. The manufacture’s engineers successfully incorporated the shape of the open dial into the skeletonization of the movement’s bridges and main plate, forming an integral whole. The Defy Skyline Skeleton Ceramic model features faceted polished hands and applied indices filled with white Super-LumiNova for effortless readability. 

This model is powered by the El-Primero 3620 automatic high-frequency manufacture movement, beating at the rate of 5Hz. The efficient automatic bi-directional winding mechanism with a blackened star-shaped rotor delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours! 

A black patterned rubber strap with a blacked steel folding clasp is also included, and swapping between them is easy with the quick strap-change mechanism integrated in the case back! Two looks for the price of one!
